Enrollment Procedures

To begin the enrollment process, please call to schedule a tour with the administrator.  An Application may be obtained from the administrator or on our website.  Please click here for Application Form.

Waiting Lists

There is often a wait list for our programs.  Enrollment preference is given to children enrolling full time and is dependent on the current availability of space in the programs.  Preference is also given to siblings of current Big Oak children.

Application Fee

A one-time, non-refundable application fee of $40.00 is due when the Application Form is submitted.

Tuition and Payments Due

A $100.00 non-refundable portion of tuition is required for each child enrolled and is due at the time of acceptance to Big Oak.  This portion is applied to the first month of tuition.  The remainder of the first month’s tuition along with the Capital Improvement Fee is due no later than the first day of care.   The following month’s tuition bill is due the first of the month.  Payments received past the tenth of the month are subject to a $10.00 late fee.

Families enrolling more than one child receive a tuition discount of 5% for the child/children with the lower tuition.  Big Oak participates in county and city tuition assistance programs, and the UW Madison CCTAP program.

Capital Improvement Fee

All families pay a non-refundable $200.00 Capital Improvement Fee annually.  This fee is charged with September’s tuition.  Newly enrolling families pay this fee no later than the first day of care.  If enrolling after June 1, this fee will fulfill the upcoming fiscal year requirement. 

The purpose of the fee is to provide revenue for capital improvements to the building, classrooms, and outdoor facilities.

Contract and Enrollment Agreement

A Contract and Enrollment Agreement will be sent to you upon acceptance to Big Oak.  This agreement must be returned with the appropriate fees and forms by the specified date to guarantee the available spot.  If not returned by the specified date, Big Oak reserves the right to offer the spot to another child.

Enrollment Forms

Enrollment Forms will be given to you upon acceptance to Big Oak.  These forms, with the exception of the Health Form, must be returned to Big Oak prior to the first day of care.  Due to State Licensing requirements, we cannot accept children into care without the proper forms on file.
