Orton Park Summer Camp
Sponsored by Big Oak Child Care Center
Orton Park Camp is especially suited for children ages 5 to 10. We utilize the many cultural, educational and recreational opportunities afforded us throughout the city. We incorporate the rich flavor of our community into our program through songs, art, music, recreational sports and games, and field trips. Informal, recreational swimming is offered daily. Due to our low child-teacher ratios, children are allowed to grow and develop on an individual basis. The camp employs highly skilled counselors who specialize in the education of early elementary age children.
Orton Park Camp is a full day, outdoor-based camp. We are state licensed and city accredited.
REGISTRATION POLICIES and PROCEDURES
Orton Park Camp is open to children entering kindergarten through age ten – regardless of color, gender, race, religion, ancestry, creed, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
Registration is on a first-come, first serve basis. Enrollment is limited.
Registration forms and the registration fee are due by March 31, 2010 and should be returned to:
Big Oak Child Care Center
2030 Winnebago St.
Madison, WI 53704
We welcome and strive to meet the needs of all campers. Campers with any disabilities/special needs may require more attention and supervision than our staff is able to provide on its own. We ask that families clearly indicate special needs on the Registration Form so that we may talk with parents directly. Failure to provide accurate information may result in our being unable to serve your child when camp begins.
Orton Park Camp reserves the right to remove any camper form the program whose behavior is deemed unacceptable. No refunds will be given.
Additional Enrollment Forms
Camp enrollment forms will be sent to families upon confirmation of enrollment. Prior to camp attendance, a physical examination, within the last two years by a licensed physician is required. Licensing regulations require we receive a medical form for each child prior to the start of camp. No child will be allowed to attend camp until this form is received.
